About CPUT Online Application Status

To check the status of your CPUT (Cape Peninsula University of Technology) online application, you can follow these steps:

Go to the CPUT website at www.cput.ac.za.
Click on the “Apply” tab on the top menu bar.
Click on the “Check Your Application Status” link.
Enter your ID number or Passport number in the provided field.
Click on the “Submit” button.
Your application status will be displayed on the screen.

Alternatively, you can contact the CPUT Admissions Office by phone or email to inquire about your application status. Their contact details can be found on the CPUT website

All applications are loaded onto the CPUT system. Once loaded onto the system, an sms will be sent to you acknowledging that the institution has received your application. Note, this is not an acceptance notice.

Track your application

Prospective applicants, who have submitted an application, can track the progress of their application online or by calling.

Selection outcome enquiries:

Unprocessed or pending selection outcome, contact Call Centre and/or Admissions & Registration Office

Enquiries relating to acceptance/non-acceptance statuses, contact the respective Faculty

Please note, when you contact the institution, you will need to provide the Call Centre agent or Admission’s Officer with your identity number, passport number or student number.

Start studying

Successful candidates will be notified by SMS of their acceptance to the institution. You will be informed of the registration dates and times as well as the commencement of class.
