Walter Sisulu University (WSU) in South Africa charges an application fee for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid when submitting the application.
Application fee: Any student who for the first time applies to be accepted as a student at Walter Sisulu University has to pay an official application fee.
Application fees are payable on a sliding scale according to the date of application as follows:
Application fees are not admission fees and therefore non-refundable and must be paid whether the student’s application was successful or not.

Residence Fees: Method of Payment of Fees
Fees can be paid in cash at the bank, i.e. settle the whole amount in full on registration.
If this method is preferred, a discount of 10% of total amount due, [for the year] after taking into account bursaries and/or any financial assistance [where applicable], is offered for payment in full upon registration.
The current application fee for WSU undergraduate programs is R100 for South African applicants and R300 for international applicants. For postgraduate programs, the application fee is R200 for South African applicants and R500 for international applicants.
The application fee can be paid online through the WSU website using a credit card or by direct deposit into the WSU bank account. Applicants should ensure that they include their full name and student number (if available) as a reference when making the payment.
