DESCRIPTION:
For adult and/or child members who submit themselves for psychiatric examination and have a variety of mental health issues, this organization offers mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services. collaborates with the treating physician, the psychiatric team, and the allied health professional team to create and oversee the treatment plans for each individual member.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develops, puts into practice, coordinates, and assesses clinical treatment plans for the diagnosis, care, and/or referral of Health Plan members with mental illnesses, whether they are acute or chronic.
Takes part in staff meetings where treatment plans are chosen, planned, and evaluated.
Offers outpatient counseling to singles, couples, families, and groups.
Educates and counsels patients and their families on adhering to recommended therapy regimens and prescribed drug regimens, as allowed by the practice.
May carry out specialist treatment procedures as needed.
Gives members of the family the necessary assistance. the creation and administration of psychoeducational groups and classes.
Creates treatment plans, case summaries, and intake summaries and keeps ongoing, private records. Tracks the treatment and development of members in line with state and NCQA requirements and generally accepted community norms.
Participation in the department's on-call rotation can be necessary.
Collaborates with doctors to determine whether patients should take psychotropic drugs while acting within the parameters of their profession.
Utilizes community groups, governmental and private organizations, and resources to suit the demands of the member's treatment.
Programs in behavioral medicine and health psychology may be developed, put into practice, and evaluated in a range of contexts, including primary care.
Offers advice to other healthcare professionals and health educators on issues pertaining to behavioral medicine, health psychology, and mental health.
If a supervision course is completed, a post-master fellow, an associate clinical social worker, an associate marriage and family therapist, or an associate professional clinical counselor may be supervised as needed.
If a member requests it, the healthcare provider may offer the right kind of assistance to the patient's family, including an explanation of the therapy, guidelines for how to help, and interventions to improve acceptance and adherence.
Utilizes the assets of public and private organizations as well as neighborhood groups to meet the needs of the member's care, including, when necessary, directing the member or member's family to outside sources.
Takes part in the formulation, implementation, and assessment of departmental programs.
Notifies required reporting organizations with safety concerns.

Additional Requirements:
- Have knowledge of a wide range of mental diagnoses and treatments.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- DSM-V must be utilized as a diagnostic tool.
- Understanding of state laws, professional board standards, and social service organizations with regard to member treatment, patient rights, and member/patient confidentiality.
- Participation in the department's on-call rotation can be necessary.
- Understanding of EBP and research techniques in psychotherapy.
- Understanding of the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health
- Accuracy in identifying patients' conditions and creating efficient treatment strategies.
- Proficiency in family, individual, and group psychotherapy.
- For taking on professional obligations, one must have moral rectitude and maturity.
- Involvement in a highly interactive interdisciplinary clinic, teamwork, and dedication to providing high-quality services.
- The capacity to swiftly finish several tasks or goals.
- The ability to function in a partnership between labor and management is required.

- Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare from a clinical track, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field required from an accredited college or university.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
OR
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) AND Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Couples and Families Endorsement (California) within 24 months of hire
OR
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior post-licensure experience and prior teamwork experience in a licensed outpatient or inpatient setting/program are preferred qualifications.
- Individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and other professional duties have previously been assigned.
- Professional maturity and ethical integrity demonstrated, which are required for carrying out professional responsibilities, are preferred.
- Preference will be given to those who have proven commitment to service quality, teamwork, and involvement in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
- Preferable: a track record of successfully completing numerous tasks/objectives in a timely manner.
- Preference should be given to accurately identifying patients and creating efficient treatment regimens.
- proficiency in family, group, and individual psychotherapy is preferred.
