Description:
Performs a range of common radiography procedures safely and effectively; evaluates and sends images and reports to the proper doctors. within the Radiology Department, handles reception and administrative tasks and creates necessary departmental reports.
Essential Purposes
-Provides patient education and precisely assesses the patient's needs in order to get them ready for radiography procedures.
– Executes fluoroscopic and/or radiographic procedures.
– Uses best practices to complete scheduled and unscheduled tasks accurately and on time in order to maximize productivity.
– Exhibits proficiency in injecting contrast material and placing IVs.
– Uses computers and radiographic equipment to create images and record them.
– Executes quality control procedures to guarantee the highest possible image quality.
– Enters and accurately completes all patient data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and/or other KP applications, including exam costs and materials.
-Repairs films in a precise and fast manner so that the radiologist can interpret them.
– Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to the department's specific demands and can appropriately react to them.
– Reports unusual circumstances to the appropriate sources in a way that makes tracking and/or resolution possible.
– Actively collaborates with other medical professionals (radiologists, ordering practitioners) to guarantee the standard, consistency, and suitability of care.
– Adheres to departmental policies, procedures, and processes.
– Adheres to all governmental requirements and employs safety precautions when doing radiography.
– Adheres to general safety precautions, infection prevention recommendations, and sterile technique.
– Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations.
– Stocks and maintains work areas and exam rooms.
– Takes turns answering calls for facilities that are open after hours, and is in charge of providing coverage if necessary.
– You could be in charge of teaching student technologists in clinical settings.
– Additional tasks as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
• One (1) year as a Radiological Technologist.
Education
• N/A.
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
• ARRT Radio Logic Technologist registration from an accredited radiograph program.• BLS (Healthcare Provider) card by start date.
Additional Requirements:
• General knowledge of EH&S, OSHA, DHR, Radiation Safety and Protection.
• General knowledge of exam protocols.
• Basic PC (keyboarding&navigation) skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technology

- Wednesday 9 am-4:30 pm, Thursday and Friday 9 am-4 pm
- Included in On-Call and Holiday rotations
