Under the supervision of the Doctor and/or Designated, assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
Significant Duties:
Patients are questioned, vital signs are taken, and other relevant data is collected as needed by the department. information is entered into the patient's medical file. prepares examination spaces and patients for testing. aids clinicians in providing patient care. Medical supplies and equipment are inventoried, ordered, and replenished. as directed by the department, which administers treatments and conducts routine laboratory testing.
Appointments carry out clinical duties and complete pertinent forms in accordance with departmental requirements. maybe in charge of giving injections and providing drugs. Instrument processing, cleaning, sterilization, and inspection duties could fall under this category. carries out computer data-entering tasks. performs department-specific clinical and technological tasks. other corresponding tasks as required. Customer service: Follows the Medical Center's and particular department's customer service guidelines.
Anticipates the needs of the consumer acts proactively to satisfy those needs, and takes accountability within the authority to guarantee that problems are fixed. promptly reacts to patient requests and alarms. makes it easier for customers to use resources. ensures a tidy, efficient, and clean working environment. Teamwork: Is an efficient team player who is adaptable, cooperative, and eager to help others.
Constructively handles challenging or contentious circumstances and seeks out the necessary help. accepts responsibility for one's own conduct. serves as a mentor and resource to other team members, students, and new hires. actively engages in professional development initiatives within the department. complies with the attendance policy. encourages an atmosphere of cooperative labor-management interaction.

- Minimum six (6) months of experience or successful completion of Kaiser Permanente externship.
- Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California.
- Basic Life Support
Additional Conditions:
- A certificate in medical terminology or equivalent experience is an additional requirement.
- A capacity for reading, writing, and understanding medical information.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly both orally and in writing.

Workdays: On-Call *Mon-Sat. Evening and Saturday rotations are required based on operational needs.
