Description:
Performs computerized tomography (CT) examinations of patients as requested by referring physicians.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a CT Technologist or registry-eligible ARRT advanced certification in CT is required; however, for new hires in classification, certification must be obtained w/in twelve (12) months of hire.
- Minimum two (2) years of recent experience as a Radiological technologist w/ ARRT required.
Education
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) is required.
- Graduate of a certified/accredited ARRT program required.
- Specialized training in computerized tomography is required.
License, Certification, Registration
- Radiation Technologist License – (in the state where care is provided)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate – Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire
- Basic Life Support
Additional Requirements:
- Venipuncture competency checks off or must acquire competency check off w/in three (3) months of hire.
- Current on CEUs w/ ARRT required.
- Required to stand, push, pull and lift patients.
- The ability to focus on small details while being interrupted frequently and attend to work for 20 to 45 minutes at a time are requirements for the position.
- The ability to modify routine without impairing departmental flow is required to accommodate a patient or a department.
- Effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift at least 50 pounds, hear, speak, and see are all necessary for working with patients.
- It can be necessary to do challenging manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination tasks, lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds,
- walk and stand for extended periods of time, see objects clearly, and hear typical sounds with some background disturbances.
