Description:

  • Patients seeking health examination, preventive care, education, and/or counseling as well as those with acute episodic conditions or chronic disorders can all receive care from nurse practitioners (NPS). According to their educational background and in accordance with the Regional Standardized Procedures and Process Protocols for Ambulatory and Hospital-Based Practice, NPs deliver care in KP regions in primary care or specialty departments. In addition to ordering, interpreting, and grading diagnostic tests and examinations, they carry out comprehensive physical examinations. Assume ongoing responsibility for each patient, from the time the disorder is identified until they are well. Both chronic and episodic disorders, as well as consequences from normally typical processes, should be identified and treated. Create and record the treatment plan and diagnosis, and keep case records that are complete enough for any physician to evaluate the effectiveness of the plan. consistently exhibits the knowledge, abilities, skills, and attitudes necessary to deliver outstanding service while taking into account cultural differences to one another, our members, and customers, as well as to vendors and contractual service providers.

Significant Duties:

 

Collect arbitrary data (obtain history).

Assemble factual data (perform a physical exam).

Develop an evaluation (diagnosis).

Create and carry out a management strategy.

Assist in connecting patients with the proper community agencies, facilities, and resources for healthcare.

Pharmaceutical interventions are ordered.

Create and carry out an educational plan.

Make a plan for the proper aftercare.

consistently promotes adherence to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, accreditation, and licenser requirements (if applicable).

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience unless specified by the department as an NP or PA.
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited RN and NP Program OR graduate of an accredited PA program.
  • Masters' Degree in Nursing (effective 1/1/03 for those not previously grandfathered in by CMS-(NP only)).
License, Certification, Registration
  • Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (California) AND Nurse Practitioner National Certificate AND Nurse Practitioner Certificate (California) AND Registered Nurse License (California)

OR

  • Physician Assistant License (California) AND Physician Assistant National Certificate
  • National Provider Identifier
  • Basic Life Support
Additional Requirements:
  • Willing to consider Physician Assistant job code 30008.
  • Current DEA Registration Number.
  • If the department elects to hire a new grad NP or PA, the California Furnishing Number and if applicable, the DEA Registration Number, must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire.
  • The probationary period would also be extended from six (6) to twelve (12) months.
Notes:
  • Work schedule is Mondy- Sunday with rotating weekends & holidays.
  • Will see APC, Family Medicine & IM Patients.
