Simple steps are involved in the process.
Sassa SRD's's online form should be filled out( srd. sassa. gov. za). Then, an SMS with your username and password will be delivered to your phone. To correctly complete the form, you must first verify that all of the information is correct.
Because we are no longer in a state of catastrophe, the Social Relief of Distress( SRD) award is now administered under the Social Assistance Act rather than the State of Catastrophe Act. How will SRD grant applications operate in 2024 as a result?
The SRD award is set to end in March 2024. Every month, anyone who is interested can view the Sassa R350 grant applications.
To access or have your SRD grant application taken into consideration, an applicant must provide Sassa permission to verify their identification, place of residence, source of income, or social security benefits. Additionally, applicants must agree to the declaration and consent.
Current grantees are invited to reapply under the new Act. You won't need to reapply after the first time.
Applicants are recommended to submit just one application rather than several ones across various platforms. Once the application has been properly submitted, you will be contacted.
All SRD grant applications must be accepted or rejected by Sassa by the 15th of the month. Beneficiaries would then receive an SMS informing them of their acceptance or rejection.
Instructions for the Online SRD Grant Application
- Kindly proceed to srd.sassa.gov.za website and navigate to the section titled “How do I apply?” to access the application process. Click on the yellow banner labeled “click here” to apply online, enter your mobile number and select “Send SMS” from the menu. Afterwards, input the unique one-time pin sent to your phone number by Sassa and follow the instructions provided to complete the application procedure. Please note that all SRD R350 grants require reconfirmation or reapplication at least once every three months, and applicants should take note of this requirement.
