ABOUT UNISA Online Application Dates

The University of South Africa (UNISA) has specific application dates and deadlines for each academic year, which can be found on its website.

For undergraduate qualifications, there are two semesters per academic year, with applications opening in August and closing in September for the first semester, and applications opening in January and closing in February for the second semester.

For postgraduate qualifications, there are three application periods per year. The first period is in January/February, the second period is in April/May, and the third period is in August/September. The specific application dates and deadlines for each period can be found on the UNISA website.

It's important to note that some qualifications may have additional selection requirements, such as the submission of a portfolio or an interview, and the application deadline for these qualifications may differ from the standard application dates.

Currently, Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2023 academic year are closed but you can apply for the next academic year. The University of South Africa (UNISA) will re-open or accept the Online Application Form for Admission to the 2023-2024 academic year from 22 November 2022 and close on 7 December 2022 for limited undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas.
