About UCTonline Registration 2023-2024
Sign into your PeopleSoft student account and follow the on-screen prompts to complete registration.
For new coursework master's students, completion of the online registration assignment and enrollment in the course are requirements.
Go online to apply. To apply online, you will need a functioning email account, your South African identity number, or, if you are a foreign applicant, your passport number.
If you are unable to apply online, you may submit a paper application. Completed undergraduate application forms must be emailed to admissions-ug@uct.ac.za by the deadline of August 31, 2023, with the subject line “2023 UCT Application Form.”
If you are unable to email the application, please deliver it to the admissions office well before the deadline (see details on the right). Online applications are required for postgraduate applicants.

When to apply
Applications open in April every year and you should try to submit an application as soon as possible after that date.
Application Fees
An application fee must be paid for every application, except in the case of most graduates of UCT. Please refer to the fee structure for more information.
University of Cape Town Postgraduate Online Application
Most postgraduate programs containing coursework close on 31 October. Please refer to the 2023-2024 Directions for Postgraduate Applicants for the relevant closing dates.
Applications for research-only postgraduate programs do not close. Please select the year in which you wish to start your programme when applying.

Closing dates for the 2023-2024 Academic Year
Second-semester applications open on 8 January and close 30 April.
First-semester applications close on 15 November.
