Significant Duties:
delivers first-rate customer service that supports organizational aims such as behavior modification and health promotion.
evaluates the needs of each patient, consults, and makes recommendations for the best resources and services for health education.
Manage and process patient registrations for relevant health education materials and services as well as recommendations to health education.
Respond to member requests, take calls for the department, and, if necessary, refer customers to other services or departments.
delivers fundamental presentations (non-clinical) on member resources for health education.
gives clinical efforts that support departmental aims and programmatic support.
keeps the Health Education Center(s) and its projects, activities, and classes running on a daily basis.
coordinating the logistics and marketing for health education programs and classes (e.g. conduct reminder calls or secure messages).
By scheduling, rooming, and offering support scheduling and appointment availability by uploading information into the KP booking system, you can support one-on-one sessions with educators.
Registration for health education programs and one-on-one consultations, as well as registration for recuperation.
purchases materials, provides Health Education Centers, manages vendors, and keeps inventory track.
Process sales and class fees, handle cash, and manage inventory.
Record the services that Health Education delivered utilizing the internal clinical systems of KP.
helps people use the technology tools available to Kaiser Permanente members
Patients use telehealth services and are active on member-facing online tools.
Inform and acquaint members with member-facing technology tools (My Doctor Online, online tutorials, and mobile apps), such as registering for kp.org and taking member photos.
Organize the efforts of interns and volunteers in health education.
Make sure that every volunteer is motivated and shares the department's vision for health education.

Grade 307
- Minimum of one (1) year of full-time or two (2) years of part-time experience in the last five (5) years in Health Education or a customer/patient service area in a health care setting.
Education
- Associate's degree required in Health Sciences or in a related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Must pass Intermediate level MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint test.

Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and written.

The role may require working across different medical center/facilities within the same Service Area.

Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in health care-related field.
