The Umoya app provides access to SASSA payment dates and allows applicants to check their SRD status, request a reconsideration, update their payment preferences, cancel their SRD grant, and even apply for the grant. For those who cannot afford to purchase data, the Umoya app offers a free tool to apply for or check the status of their SASSA SRD R350. Simply purchase a small amount of data, download the Moya app from Google Play or the official website, and submit an application to be considered for the grant. If you are unable to pay for the data, you can receive it through WhatsApp. In addition to accessing SASSA information, the Umoya app also provides free local and international news. To check the status of your SASSA SRD R350 grant using the Umoya app, follow these easy steps.
- To launch the Umoya application, click on it. Once you’re on the website, go to Discovery and click on the SASSA label. Make sure you have a working internet connection, even though it won’t consume any internet data. When the website has finished loading completely, scroll down to the area that asks you to view the application status. Click on the link provided to enter your ID number and the phone number you used to apply. After entering your details, click the “Submit” button that appears. Your application status for each month you applied will be displayed, along with a message indicating whether it was accepted or rejected. If your application is approved, it will be shown whether you will receive payments and the payment schedule. If your application was rejected, the reason for the rejection will be indicated. If you disagree with the decision, you have 30 days from the day it was declined to challenge it.
