Description:

Large, complicated, and interdisciplinary projects are managed by the administration support team for the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). In charge of providing PACS imaging system troubleshooting, problem-solving, and business solutions as a business consultant. serves as the point person to make sure PACS operations are in line with clinical and business requirements. This includes complex troubleshooting/problem solving, inter-application dependencies, network connectivity, Health Level 7 (HL7) and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) communication and configuration, user management, data correction, application upgrades, in-depth application functionality and configuration, hardware maintenance, and information security configuration. As needed, give end users ongoing instructions on how to utilize the application. Control the replacement and update of hardware and software. Take part in development efforts with the design group for imaging solutions. Participate in the application implementation process.

Aid in the creation of support policies and procedures and aid in training the lower level of support workers. To provide seamless support for shared systems, collaborate closely with the IT and vendor support staff. When working on projects, gives other PACS Administrators guidance.

Essential Responsibilities:

Establishes system requirements for PACS and other applications after analyzing and identifying users' needs in partnership with other departments.

participates in the creation and implementation of application systems in work teams. focuses on goals, planned schedule dates, and deadlines, as well as customer requirements and changing technologies.

In order to improve operations and methodologies, management tools, monitoring tools, decision support models, and operational studies are designed, planned, and made easier to use.

Consult on the capability of imaging systems and appropriate fixes. participates in operational support and regional planning.

Creates and uses the proper QA and QI metrics to promote ongoing quality improvement. helps other PACS administrators diagnose and fix software issues.

Creates develops and carries out user training initiatives. carries out training and offers end users technical and problem-solving help.

Oversees the creation and implementation of information systems. In charge of implementing advanced PACS imaging training. provides decision assistance and analysis while collecting and interpreting data for use in decision-making. The ability to develop and deliver oral and written reports to leadership. responsible for changes in workflow, ensuing communication, and subsequent quality control.

Maintains system security and standards protects data integrity and complies with legal obligations. oversees data entry and makes changes as necessary. Ensures system availability takes part in service level agreement creation and responds to service requests as necessary.

oversees the HL7 and DICOM standards maintenance for imaging systems. systems and procedures are in line with corporate norms. creates operational and technical policies and processes in relation to the deployment of systems.

Basic Qualifications: 
Experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of PACS administration and project management/business consultation or related experience.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, medical technology, or related field; or four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) is required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • N/A

 

Additional Requirements:

Voice recognition software expertise for the diagnostic imaging field (s).

Experience in project management, including working with multidisciplinary teams.

Shown understanding of data center operations and production, networks, telecommunications, and client-server technology.

Adaptability, oral communication, teamwork, problem-solving, coaching, group process facilitation, influence, negotiation, strategic thinking, results orientation, written communication, planning, project management, and functional analysis are examples of skills that have been demonstrated.

Word processing, spreadsheet, database, and multi-media presentation PC application knowledge and proficiency demonstrated.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • understanding of the operation of cardiology systems and c-pacs.
  • expertise and experience in the department's particular area of accountability.
  • a master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or a closely connected subject.
  • knowledge of the healthcare sector, particularly service delivery and information systems, and healthcare FFS (fee for service).
  • understanding of computer simulation, statistical probability, study design, and quantitative modeling methods.
