Job Summary:

Delivers patients and their families complete, skilled biopsychosocial services. provides services for assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation to help patients and their families deal with economic challenges brought on by medical issues as well as biopsychosocial issues.

Significant Duties:

by evaluating the needs of the patient and family, offers high-quality services.

Creates and implements a suitable treatment strategy in accordance with the norms and regulations, as well as departmental and medical center policies.

provides adults, kids, and families with crisis intervention/treatment and management of all on-site psychiatric emergencies.

provide a qualified interpretation of the patient's condition and suggests suitable psychosocial therapies, a treatment strategy, and/or referral details.

Analyzes the patient's medical situation, taking into account any pertinent medical history and current drugs.

provides individual, group, or classroom instruction on topics relating to psychological concerns to health plan providers and members.

does essential patient and family advocacy work for KP and the neighborhood.

participates in appropriate community and/or medical center meetings on behalf of the department.

identifies areas for the department or work area that need improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum one-year supervised field experience in a clinical setting required.

Education

  • Master's degree in a Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or other field related to behavioral health required.

License, Certification, Registration

  • California Driver's License required for Hospice and Palliative Care positions.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to master detailed and complex information regarding benefits and coordination of care. 

  • Knowledge of psychodynamics, psychotherapy and psychotropic medications and indications for psychiatric hospitalization.

  • Assessment skills, ability to define appropriate course of treatment and implementation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum one-year experience in a health care environment preferred. 

  • For Hospice and Palliative positions:

    • One year experience providing direct service in medical or home care related setting-MSW internship considered.

 

Notes:

  • May be required to work at various locations due to department need

  • Must be registered with BBS within 2.5 years

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Shift: Day

Workdays: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat

Working Hours Start: 07:00 AM

Working Hours End: 07:00 PM
