r350 grant application 2023-2024
The R350 grant was a temporary relief grant provided by the South African government to eligible individuals who were financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, as of my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021, the R350 grant was no longer available.
It's possible that the R350 grant may be reintroduced in the future if needed. If this happens, the application process may be similar to the previous application process, which involved the following steps:
- Check if you are eligible for the grant: To be eligible for the R350 grant, you need to be a South African citizen, permanent resident, or refugee; be between the ages of 18 and 60; be unemployed; not be receiving any other social grants; and not be receiving any other form of income support.
- Apply for the grant: You can apply for the R350 grant through the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) website, or by sending an SMS with the word “COVID” followed by your ID number to 082 046 8553.
- Provide your details: You will need to provide your personal details, including your name, ID number, phone number, and bank account details (if you have one).
- Wait for approval: Once you have submitted your application, you will need to wait for approval. If your application is approved, you will receive payment through your chosen payment method, which can include bank transfer, cash payment at a designated pay point, or a SASSA card.
If you have any questions or need further information about the R350 grant or any other government grants or assistance programs, you can contact SASSA or visit their website for more information.
