Conditions
The ensuing conditions have to be satisfied by aspirants

  • they must be at least 18 times old,
  • jobless,
  • not entering any social backing or income,
  • ineligible for severance insurance benefits,
  • not entering a paycheck under the National Student Financial Aid Scheme,
  • not abiding in a structure that receives backing from the government.

When does it start to pay off and for how long is it valid?

  • The first R350 special Social Relief of Distress (SRD) payments under Covid-19 will be made on May 15.All South Africans over the age of 18 who are unemployed and are not currently receiving any other forms of government assistance are eligible to apply for the grants, which have a six-month duration and a value of R2,100 each.

How is it distributed?
