During the Covid-19 pandemic, a National State of Disaster was declared by the President, and in response, a Special Covid-19 Social Relief of Distress Benefit (SRD) of R350 was suggested for individuals who are currently unemployed, have no source of income, do not receive social grants or UIF payments, and meet other qualifying criteria.

Since the launch of the SASSA R350 grant, a significant number of SRD applications have been submitted through the srd.sassa.gov.za website. To check the status of your grant and see if it has been processed, you can visit the SASSA website and check your SASSA SRD status. The website also allows you to update your banking information and track the status of other information related to your application.

If you are waiting for your SASSA status to be updated, please refer to the table below for instructions and further details on registering for the R350 SASSA grant. Simply click on the link provided to access the necessary information.

SASSA allows applicants whose grant application was previously denied after an appeal to reapply.

If you need to find the SASSA phone number, website, or Twitter account, you can click on the provided link.
