They will then be required to provide their personal information, including their ID number, name, surname, and contact details. Applicants will also be required to provide supporting documentation, such as proof of income, proof of residence, and a bank statement.
Once the application is submitted, it will be reviewed by SASSA to determine eligibility. Applicants will receive a notification via SMS or email regarding the status of their application. Successful applicants will receive the grant amount of R350 per month for a period of up to six months.
It is important to note that the SRD grant is a temporary relief measure and not a permanent solution to financial distress.
