The designated collective bargaining representative for this position is **UNAC. To determine the terms of the contract governing this employment, Kaiser Permanente and UNAC will negotiate. This position is not covered by any existing collective bargaining agreements between Kaiser Permanente and UNAC until negotiations are finished.

Job Summary:

Providing diagnosis and therapy for communication difficulties under supervision. ensures adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

As of 9/26/2021, Northern California's Rehab Services roles are collectively bargained for by UNAC/UHCP (United Nurses Association of California/Union of Health Care Professionals).

Significant Duties:

Evaluates and treatments swallowing and communication problems in both adult and child populations. administers diagnostic procedures and carries out customized therapies.

Identifies diseases, informs the doctor and the patient, and plans the course of treatment. ensures adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal laws. the application and upkeep of departmental policies and procedures. finds potential for new or improved services or patient care levels.

Regular position compensation reviews are done at Kaiser Permanente. Kaiser Permanente has the right to review and alter job descriptions at any time, as well as to convert positions with salaries to hourly compensation. Typically, affected employees are only notified of such changes before they are implemented.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience

Completion of a Speech Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Internship required by date of hire.

Education

Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology by date of hire.
License, Certification, Registration
Speech-Language Pathologist License (California)
National Provider Identifier
Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate
Basic Life Support required at hire

Additional Requirements:

Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
