Description:
Decontaminates cleans, packages, sterilizes, stores, and distributes medical goods in compliance with TITTLE 22 requirements and The Joint Commission standards while working under direct supervision. fulfills user areas' requests.
Maintains compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws as well as the policies and procedures of Kaiser Permanente.
Disassembles and cleans or decontaminates medical supplies, equipment, and instruments using detergent soap and ultrasonic cleaning as directed.
Utilizing illustrated manuals or lists as a reference, assembles, examines, tests, wraps, and dates medical instruments, supplies, and equipment aseptically; notifies Supervisor of any repairs that are required.
Utilizing steam, gas, and plasma sterilizers, interpreting biological test results, and transferring them Fills out written, KPDS, and telephone requisitions for all processed medical supplies and equipment. Issues are made in accordance with the urgency of the request. Deliveries are made as required.

examines the expiration date on medical supplies, equipment, and instruments and replaces anything that is no longer sanitary.
Preference sheets are retrieved OR scheduled, reviewed, examined, and decided upon for use in instances.

Knowledge of Surgical instrumentation, Basic Microbiology, Basic Anatomy and Physiology.
