The Supply Chain Manager/Director or designee has direct control over this role. Disposable medical supplies are inventoried, restocked, and distributed as part of the perioperative services, which also involves restocking the operating room and ambulatory surgery unit suites. Preparing surgical carts for usage in the hospital and/or medical office building is the main focus of work. will continue to keep the supplies listed accurately on facility procedure cards. Maintaining supplies for use in operating room carts. other corresponding tasks as required.

Essential Purposes
• Examines the operating room schedule beforehand to make sure adequate supply levels are met.
• Maintains a supply of operating room carts.
• Supply regions designated by inventory for replenishment.
• Rotate your inventory using the FIFO (first-in, first-out) strategy.
• Fills orders from inventory in storage areas.
• Keeps the ASU suites and OR stocked to the appropriate levels.
• Explain product replacements and conversions to the personnel.
• Ensure adequate stocking levels are maintained and supplies are ordered on a regular basis by working with the perioperative cost specialist, the procurement team, and service leads (nursing).
• Work with the supply chain manager to escalate and resolve problems, involving clinicians as needed.
• Keep track of procedure cards (removing obsolete items, and updating cards during product conversions).
To get ready for upcoming processes, print the supply forecast.
• When required, dons protective gear.
• Sterility assurance, standard precautions, workflow patterns, and hand-washing requirements are all part of infection control.
• Ensures that accurate paperwork is kept both manually and electronically.
• Takes part in all competency programs, goes to meetings, and receives training as needed.
• Follows all rules and guidelines when using the Healthconnect and OneLink systems.
• The capacity to communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.
• The capacity to read and understand memos, letters, and directions.
• Capacity for efficient oral and written communication.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
– Six (6) months of experience handling supplies in a perioperative setting are required (this can be in an ambulatory surgery unit, operating room, or sterile processing; it can also be a combination of all three).
– Six (6) months of expertise with a supply chain inventory management system are necessary.
High school diploma or GED necessary for employment.
Registration, Licensure, and Certification:
None
Additional Conditions:
– Within 30 days of employment, successfully complete the Bloodborne Pathogens Awareness Training (KP Learn Module).
– Must pass the assessment for computer navigation.
– The employee must be prepared to work in a labor-management partnership setting.
