Job Summary:
Receives incoming calls under direct supervision, initials emergency call notifications, pages medical center staff as needed, and keeps various records as needed.
Significant Duties:
Establishes and maintains cordial, cooperative relationships with the general public, patients, and other staff members by adhering to established policies and procedures.
By exhibiting talents that are compatible with the company's goal of delivering exceptional customer relations and high-quality service, the candidate promotes, ensures, and enhances customer services to internal and external clients.
receives incoming calls and routes them to the proper stations.
Staff at the medical center pages.
Answers callers' questions about the patient's condition and other informational inquiries.
broadcasts pertinent and essential messages. acts as the primary point of contact for all internal emergencies (i.e., Code Red and Code Blue). logs events or stores them in an online database.
performs a variety of clerical tasks, including mailings, distributing pamphlets, and listing on-call and beeper staff.
Requests for telephone equipment maintenance are logged and handled. Inform the appropriate staff members about equipment problems.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience

Minimum one (1) year of multi-line telephone experience.
Education

High School Diploma/GED.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group arrangements to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization.

Must be willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.
