Job Summary:

This position's duties also include managing all stages of data management, quality control, and reporting; programming in analytical programming languages (like SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, and Python); taking the lead in analyzing and putting data management, quality control, and reporting requirements on multi-programmer projects; and troubleshooting intricate software processes and products.

Additionally, this position is responsible for developing complex macros for various research and reporting purposes, designing thorough quality checking and validation processes, developing and evaluating complex data linkage processes, and testing data conversions and data integrity from a wide variety of sources across platforms.

develops outcomes and process measurements, translates business requirements, determines data/information needs and data collection techniques, develops analytical strategies, and measures the effects of business decisions on clients, customers, and/or members in order to drive strategic data-informed decisions. Supporting and educating end users, documenting processes and outputs, and working with clients and staff to discover opportunities and strategies to increase efficiencies through analysis.

By validating data sources, querying, merging, and extracting data across sources, performing routine data refresh and update, developing and/or delivering tools for electronic data collection, and offering user training, support, and documentation, data is gathered on targeted variables in an established systematic manner.

Determines data and analytical requirements develops models that produce actionable insights, tests, refines, and validates models in order to create analytical and/or statistical models that enable informed business decisions.

Integrates and consolidates data, ensures data quality and accuracy, identifies data inaccuracies, and suggests process or system modifications to improve the overall quality of the data before cleaning and generating the final data set(s) for analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum four (4) years of data management experience with SAS, SQL, R or another similar analytical programming language.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience programming with SAS, SQL, R or another similar analytical programming language.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field and Minimum five (5) years experience in data analytics or a directly related field. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.

  • Three (3) years of experience working with SQL.
  • One (1) year health care experience.

  • Three (3) years experience developing and programming with SAS macros.
  • Three (3) years experience programming in SQL.
  • Three (3) years experience developing in Tableau.
  • Two (2) years project management experience.
  • Two (2) years experience delivering presentations to management.
  • Three (3) years relational database experience.
  • Two (2) years experience in process improvement.
  • Masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field.
  • Accredited Process Improvement Certification.
