Job Summary:

The main responsibilities of this individual contributor include guiding strategic data-informed decisions, obtaining data and information on targeted variables in a systematic and defined manner, preparing data for analytic efforts, and deciphering difficult data analyses.

This position designs, implements, and automates business and reporting solutions, drives the development of advanced analytical and/or statistical models enabling informed business decisions, and leads the execution of creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes across functional areas, business and/or clinical lines.

Develops insights, reports, and presentations that tell a compelling story to stakeholders to enable and influence decision-making. Participates in peer reviews. Provides context related to data interpretations and/or limitations as appropriate. Interprets complex data analyses by applying findings to contextual settings.

By identifying the data and analytical needs, translating models and gaining stakeholder support for implementation, developing complex models that produce actionable insights, testing, refining, and validating models, the leader leads the development of advanced analytical and/or statistical models that enable informed business decisions.

conceives, plans, and automates business and reporting solutions while working with stakeholders to ensure consistency and coherence in their design, planning, and execution; designing data reports, visualizations, and/or interactive Business Intelligence (BI) reports; analyzing and summarizing data and results; communicating key findings to stakeholders; determining the need for the creation and implementation of additional reporting solutions; and, if necessary, preparing documentation.

Develops, calculates, and validates algorithms; defines and conducts complex analyses, including descriptive, correlational, inferential, and/or predictive statistics; and drives the execution of innovative data analytic approaches that produce actionable results across functional areas, business lines, and/or clinical lines.

Integrates and consolidates data, ensures data quality and accuracy, profiles data inaccuracies and suggests process or system changes to improve overall data quality, collaborates with stakeholders and source system owners to resolve data quality issues as necessary, and cleans and creates final data set(s) for analysis to prepare data for analytic efforts

By validating data sources, querying, merging, and extracting data from internal and external sources, performing routine data refresh and update, developing and/or delivering complex tools for electronic data collection, and offering user training, support, and documentation, data is gathered on targeted variables in an established systematic manner.

Drives strategic data-informed decisions by consulting with clients and leadership to identify and clarify key business needs across functional areas, business lines, and/or clinical lines, developing outcomes and process measures, translating business requirements, determining data/information needs and data collection methods, developing complex analysis plans, and partnering with clients and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field and Minimum eight (8) years experience in data analytics or a directly related field. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three (3) years project management experience.
  • Three (3) years relational database experience.
  • Three (3) years experience working with data extraction and manipulation language.
  • Three (3) years experience working with statistical analysis software.
  • Three (3) years programming experience.
  • Three (3) years experience working in a matrixed organization.
  • Three (3) years experience working with SAS.
  • Three (3) years experience working with Open Source Tools (e g , R, Python).
  • Three (3) years experience working with SQL.
  • Masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field.
