JOB DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, maintains assigned spaces in a clean, orderly, hygienic, and safe condition as well as carries out a variety of environmental service tasks inside and outside the medical center.

Primary Functions:

Maintains KP’s policies and procedures, the principles of responsibilities, and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
Respect KP’s policies, procedures, and principles of responsibility, as well as any relevant national, state, and local regulations.
Cleans beds, furnishings, surgical areas, and storage spaces.
Cleans spills and flooded areas; deep cleans, and sanitizes rooms, mattresses, vents, and bathrooms;
Uses electrical cleaning equipment; strips, cleans and polishes floor and wall surfaces; vacuums carpet areas;
dilute cleaning solutions; collects and dispose of waste, including biohazardous medical waste; ensure that biohazardous waste is stored and locked in designated areas.
Coordinates cleaning tasks with different departments
May take on additional responsibilities as needed

Pay Level: 04

Basic Qualifications:

HS diploma or GED preferred;
ability to communicate and follow instructions in English;
moderate to heavy lifting ability necessary;
one (1) year of experience in the environmental services department in an acute care setting is required.
Experience in environmental services in a medical center environment is preferred.

Primary Location: California, Harbor City, South Bay Medical Center

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20

Shift: Evening

Workdays: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun

Working Hours Start: 08:00 PM

Working Hours End: 04:30 AM

Job Schedule: Part-time
