Education
- Must pass DEA Clearance. Must pass Pharmacy Technician training entrance exam.
License, Certification, Registration
- CA Registered Pharmacy Technician
- Registered by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Additional Requirements:
- Typing at a speed of 30 wpm is another need. By the end of the posting time, all testing needs to be finished.
- Requires a lot of standing, lifting up to 150 pounds, and bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Knowledge of how to read, comprehend, and write pharmaceutical material.
- Comprehensive understanding of counterparts for both generic and trade names, dose levels, and contemporary drug forms.
- Understanding of state and federal laws and regulations governing the delivery of pharmaceutical services.
- Possessing the ability to operate additional devices and the pharmacy’s computer system.
- Ability to type prescription labels.
