After being hired into the specialty, one (1) year of experience in the field or successful completion of a formal course in the field is required. Operating rooms, emergency rooms, telemetry, intensive care units, labor and delivery, pediatrics, post-anesthesia care units, cardiology, outpatient therapy, diagnostic imaging, and oncology are some examples of specialty areas.
