-Reviews laboratory test findings and patient progress to look for adverse drug reactions. Consults with medical staff to help interpret lab results and provide care for patients. Patients are questioned to learn about medication use, allergies to and sensitivity to certain medications.
-As necessary, record the data in the patient's electronic medical record and other platforms. Informs patients on how to use the drug, how to store it, the value of compliance, safety measures, and warnings related to medication therapy. According to established policies and procedures, counsels the patient on the usage of pertinent devices and the synchronization of pharmacological therapy with nutrition.
-Whenever necessary, offers patients, pharmacy staff, and other medical employees continuing education and training programs. Participates in utilization reviews, hospital committees, patient care rounds, and quality management programs as required.

- B.S. degree in Pharmacy OR Pharm.D required.
- Current American Heart Association-approved Basic Life Support (BLS) card is required.
- Current CA Registered Pharmacist License.
- Must be able to obtain an NPI # within one month in position.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current pharmacological/biopharmaceutical principles, medical terminology, pathologies, disease states, and related information for a medical management plan.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique, and the preparation of sterile IV products and chemotherapeutic agents.
- Knowledge of emergency medications and drug monitoring.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to operate the pharmacy computer system(s) and other equipment.
- Must be able to generate prescription labels.
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND CHECK.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
