Description:
Essential Purposes
– Upholds KP’s policies and procedures, the company’s guiding principles, and all relevant local, state, and federal laws.
-Barcoding, centrifuging, separating, mixing, logging, and transporting specimens are used to carry out the pre-analytical phase of testing.
– Retrieves samples for follow-up testing, searches for leftover or misplaced samples, and reports
– Keeps track of all orders and inventories for their assigned region or job.
– Delivers laboratory reports to the proper locations after receiving them.
– Processes accessions specimens and bar codes correctly.
– Prepares samples for delivery to outside laboratories
– Records problematic specimens
– Keeps a database up to date and oversees it for samples delivered to outside reference laboratories.
Establishes and maintains cordial relationships with the general public, patients, and other staff members.
– Obeys all supervisory, leadership, and senior instructions.
– May carry out additional tasks as needed
