About UFS online application dates 2023-2024

The university of the Free State has opened its online portal for the 2023-2024 academic year. However, applicants are advised to submit their applications before the deadlines listed below for various course faculties.

UFS Open dates

The open date for the application was on the 1st of April for all Undergraduate programs offered on the Bloemfontein and Qwaqwa campuses for the 2024 academic year.

Whiles the open date to study the Access Progam (AP) offered on the South Campus and the sub-regions in the 2024 academic year.

UFS Closing Dates

UFS closing for the Faculty of sciences Occupational therapy, Optometry, Physiotherapy, and Radiation Sciences is the 31st of May
Closing dates for courses like 31 July 2023 Architecture, Biokinetics, Dietetics, Nursing, Social Work, and Sports Coaching is the 31st of July

3. The UFS has given the opportunity for programs such as All Access Programmes on the South Campus and the sub-regions and the International undergraduate applications for

All non-selection programs
Applications from students transferring from other tertiary institutions
Community Development (Qwaqwa Campus only)
Construction Economics and Management (Full-time)
Construction Management (Compact Learning)

to have their final closing date on the 31st of August 2023

4. And finally 30th of September 2023 is the closing date for Drama and Theatre Arts, Forensic Sciences, Geology, Music, Physics with Engineering Sciences, Quantity Surveying (Compact Learning), and Fine Arts.

Important Notice

All programs have a limited number of spots available, therefore you are encouraged to apply as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
If your information is not available or if you omitted it on your application form, you will not be admitted or able to register. This is because when we process your application for admission, we capture your facts onto the UFS databases. Because of this, it's crucial to complete the application completely and submit it by the deadline. Because there are only a few spots available in each program, meeting the minimum entry requirements does not guarantee admission.
