Description:
Provides clerical support to the department under supervision. This includes typing a variety of correspondence and papers, ordering supplies, taking departmental phone calls, maintaining files, and serving as reception for specific sections.
Essential Purposes
– Upholds all applicable local, state, and federal laws as well as Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
– Handles a range of clerical tasks, such as staffing, scheduling, MD payroll, recording timesheets for employees, etc.
– Allows for phone reception.
– Receives and responds to messages.
– Aids subscribers in finding medical care.
– Forms that are finished and related to member services.
– Delivers instructions and information to members, families, and visitors as needed.
– Enters and retrieves member data using computers.
– Helps keep track of member appointments.
– Makes reservations.
– Participates as needed in Quality Improvement programs.
– Encourages quality of service by providing members and guests with resources.
– Places orders for and manages supplies and equipment.
– Supports the organization's ideology and adheres to its policies and procedures.
– Use proper medical terminology, formatting, and acronyms.
– Format research and academic articles for publication.
– Produce charts and graphs.
– Gather and assemble total statistics and data.
– Finish worksheets by adding up the activities.
– Create tables with statistical data.
– Set and keep track of work priorities.
– Conduct routine desk audits to spot backlog issues.
– Provide allocated staff with practical guidance.
– Examine the given work for accuracy and thoroughness.
– Suggest modifications to the process.
– Instruct and acclimate new and less experienced staff.
– Act as a resource for coworkers by addressing their procedural inquiries and offering assistance with problem-solving.
– Take part in unique projects.
– Develops and maintains cordial, helpful relationships with the general public, patients, and other staff.
– By exhibiting abilities that are compatible with the organization's goal of delivering exceptional customer relations and quality of service, promotes, assures, and enhances customer service to internal/external customers.
– Performs other related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must be available 40hrs wk during orientation/training period.
- Will work at both MB and SH locations.
- This is an on call position, days and hours may vary.
