Director Revenue Cycle Operations
– Create and offer suggestions for policies and procedures pertaining to Revenue Cycle activities to the Managing Director, Patient Access, and Assistant Administrator Finance.
– Ensure that Medicare, Medi-cal, Workers' Compensation, collective bargaining agreements, and organizational fee schedules are in conformity with administrative and legal requirements of government laws.
– Ensure there are sufficient internal controls in place. Establish, nurture, and maintain a skilled and effective team; oversee staff training and related goal- and performance-setting with Revenue Cycles managers and staff.
Develop and solidify your relationship with senior management at the hospital or health plan in order to increase the quantity and caliber of decisions you make together that will affect your business's revenue cycle organization financially, legally, and in terms of regulations.
– Assume a leadership role in the creation of financial forecasts, budgets, and reports regarding non-dues revenue for their purview.
– Assure that all essential business requirements and needs are recognized and satisfied through automated/manual processes.
– In charge of creating and maintaining payroll and non-payroll budgets.
– Accountable for ensuring that resources are allocated and used properly to meet deliverables.
– Assure that the agency stays within its budget.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
– Minimum five (5) years of experience required managing a staff of professionals in the revenue cycle environment.
Education
– Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Business Administration OR four (4) years of management experience in a directly related field.
– High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
– N/A
Additional Requirements:
– Demonstrated knowledge of general business concepts including financial management, team building practices, organizational behavior, and personnel/labor laws and regulations.
– Demonstrated ability to utilize effective financial management tools, information systems methodologies, and supervisory techniques.
– Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience preferably in an acute care hospital.- Master's degree preferred.
